What a wonderful experience to photograph and partake in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with Tom, a master practitioner. 

I felt like I had a therapy, massage, and yoga session. I also watched performance art, drank liquid earth, and made a new friend. 

Photos aren't always about smiling for the camera, they can also bear witness to your most concentrated moments. All of us do something that shifts our world for a little while, whether it be carving wood, threading a needle, or whisking matcha tea. Don't let them go unnoticed by the lens.
