For 23 years, I've been photography Lauri, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and her two daughters; one is getting her PhD in cellular and molecular biology and the other is majoring in math. Recently, they brought in their newly adopted addition to their family. I asked Lauri what this has meant to her. 

We did not expect to be a family of four at this point in our lives but believe it was God’s plan. Although we don’t know what the future brings, trying to help Grace develop to the best of her ability is truly a gift. Attending therapy weekly and then watching her develop skills requires patience and reminds us of joy and gratefulness in the little things. -Lauri
