In my childhood home, family photos lined the staircase. I endlessly sat meticulously studying every face. That is my nose, those are my eyes, these are my people. Being surrounded in family photos gave me an sense of belonging and security. They provided me with a visual reinforcement that I was loved.
When we first opened Kliks, Gazette reporter George Ford, wrote an article about our studio. He asked if I had any future goals. I said I hoped to be able to photograph long enough to capture next generations, to fill stairwells far and wide. Someday, these grandkids will look at their photos and see their nose, their eyes, their people, and know that they, too, are loved.
Kliks Photography is taking reservations for family photos in time for the holidays.
